ANZAC Day 2015

Saturday was ANZAC day to remember all the troops that fought in Gallipoli between 1915 to 1918 for our country. Students from Room 5 went to many Dawn services around South Taranaki and some went to Kaponga's Service.

Room 5 have been working hard all week learning about what ANZAC day is all about and how we can honour the people that fought for our peace and freedom.

ITM cup - Trophy Visits Auroa School

Last week we had a very special cup visit us. It was the ITM cup for rugby. It is the highest level of New Zealand domestic professional rugby union competition, contested annually from late August to early November and managed by the New Zealand Rugby Union (NZRU).

Auroa School got to ask questions, look and even hold the cup.

Do you have sports that are played in your country nation wide?

What do they play for (shield, cup) and in what sport?

Two Weeks Break -Check out eTextiles

We are on a two week break this week and next. We always have two weeks break after 10ish weeks of school. We have four terms. Each term lasting 10 weeks with two weeks holiday at the end and a 6 week break over Christmas which is the end of our School Year. Our Christmas is in Summer.

How is your School year set up?

Here is a slideshow of the work I have been doing with my Friday Year 7 & 8 class doing Design Production Education (part of the technology curriculum), eTextiles. Enjoy!

Have a lovely break.
